OUR TEAM

Jewel Elizabeth
@rocksolidpilatesyoga

Jewel Elizabeth created Become Yoga School after years of mentoring, auditioning and coaching dozens of YTT grads. After realizing that many pay up to $4800 for their program but still didn't know how to sequence safely, feel confident leading a class or nail a yoga audition, she decided to make a fully comprehensive 200 Hour Yoga Teacher Training. Jewel has been a talent manager and mentor for Equinox and FitHouse NYC and has taught training programs in Jakarta, Bali, Jamaica, Ireland and Bermuda. She has appeared in commercials for ClassPass and NYHRC and still teaches on-camera for NEOU and Daily Burn. She believes in empowering students to become the teachers they dream of being, helping them every step of the way.

Stephanie Acosta
@stephanieacostayoga

Guest Mentor Stephanie Acosta is a 550-Hour RYT and the founder of Yogis Unidos, a Latinx-Based Yoga Community. Her positive spirit helps students get out of their heads and into their bodies, coaching them to be authentic and true to themselves. She completed her 200 Hour Vinyasa Certification and speciality certs in Buti Yoga, Traditional Hot Yoga, Ashtanga and Rocket Yoga. When Stephanie is not teaching yoga, she’s a mother to her 5 year old daughter and roller skating in Central Park.

Liz Wexler
@sassletic

Guest Mentor Liz Wexler is a New York City native, Lululemon Ambassador, former Equinox talent manager and the National Director of Mind Body for Exhale Spas. As a guest mentor, she has given positive feedback that helps our trainees grow, using her MA in Educational Theater to bring out instructors' inner voice!

Tierra Hohn
@dothetoughstuff

Guest Mentor Tierra Hohn is a 200-Hour RYT who aspires to leave her students feeling powerful on their mats and within themselves! She began practicing yoga while in university and has continued ever since. Yoga became a pivotal part of Tierra's eating disorder recovery journey and wellness routine, which has empowered her to share this practice. Tierra is formally trained in Baptiste Power Yoga and Restorative Yoga and is a mental health advocate. She has written for Canadian Teacher Magazine, loves to laugh, try new things and spend time with her dog.

Ana Leizl
@socialsavvyVA

Ana is a Phillipines-based VA and an integral part of the Become Yoga School team! Through her business, Social Savvy VA, Ana made most of our printables and Instagram quotes for BYS. If there is a gorgeous flashcard or Sequence Plan that you love, odds are Ana was the mastermind behind it.

We want you to become great.

The #1 comment we get from YTT grads was that they didn't feel prepared to teach upon graduation. And while many online programs will take your money and let you disappear, Become Yoga School wants you to feel strong, confident and connected. That's why we've added 3 Video Teachbacks. You have an opportunity to get real feedback from Registered Yoga Teachers in real time. With our 21 Modules including video, text and interactive exams, you'll get a comprehensive program that prepares you to become a certified yoga instructor and teaches you how to build a successful yoga business, completely online.
